I have had the best week! My best friend Lindsay came into town. We had so much fun going shopping all over town and playing with our kiddos. They were so exhausted each night from all the running around that they went to bed by 7:30 every night which gave us plenty of time to work and then watch cheesy girl movies and eat chips and guacamole. YUM! We took the kids out for a photoshoot Tuesday afternoon and got some oh so cute pics. Here are just a few....

I love these two. Daniel and I grew up going to church together and I was good friends with his older brother. I felt old when all of my friends started getting married but I feel even older now that all of my friends younger siblings are getting married as well. They got married at the Plantation House, I heart the plantation house, besides the fact that it is absolutely stunning, you get to work with great people like Luanna Cole. Bloomology was in charge of floral arrangements and did a beautiful job. So here are some from their wedding day....

I also had to post this picture that my rad friend Bonnie Berry took with her rented fisheye lens of our photog get together last night. We had a blast, well at least I did. Sarah and Jennifer let us use there fabulous studio as a meeting place, and just in case your wondering I'm not the least bit jealous, ok maybe just a little. So here is the line up...

A few more were there but left before the picture was taken. Which is funny because most of the ones that stayed later, had kids. I guess we were so glad to finally have some adult interaction.

Big Rig Day

Last Tuesday was Big Rig day at the Library. How cool is that? When I first saw it on the events calendar for the San Marcos Public Library I thought "Oh that will be neat, Titus can see a firetruck up close" I had no clue that there would be about 15 different types of trucks and that the kids could climb all over them to their hearts content! They had every thing from firetrucks, to military Humvee's and dump trucks. It was so much fun to see their reaction. Asia was a little apprehensive but Titus couldn't get enough. Here are a few pics from our day....

Sammie's Bridal

We couldn't have asked for a better day in June. We shot Sammie's Bridals this past Friday and when I checked the weather that morning I first thought we were going to have to cancel because the weather man said thunder storms were a-brewing. There was a slight drizzle in the morning but by the time we met that afternoon for the shoot the slight drizzle cooled the day off. Sammie is stinkin adorable as you can all see. So here are a few from the session...

First of all I must apologize to my blog readers. I left the country without saying goodbye. I kept meaning to post a blog telling everyone that I was leaving and forgot to do so. I know some of you tried to call and and weren't able to get thru. I also received a few calls while I was in Cancun from some new clients that I have yet to call back because I lost the sheet of paper that I wrote phone numbers down on. So please don't think I forgot to call you back, I just can't find your phone #'s.
With that being said I had a wonderful, yet short lived vacation. We left for Cancun on the 7th then came home on the 11th. I was here thru the 14th for a wedding and then left town again to go to our annual family trip to Galveston. All of this to explain why I have not blogged in a while. I hope to make it up to you by adding more pics than normal.
To start I am posting John and Sarah's wedding pics from May 31st. They had the biggest smiles on their faces all night. I was so fortunate that Sarah called me about 4 weeks out from her wedding date and told me that her photographer backed out on her and she needed someone pronto. It just happened to be my only weekend left open for May. It was meant to be! It was a beautiful wedding and I had such a great time getting to know Sarah and her family. They are truly wonderful people. Here are some of the highlights from their wedding....

Emily and Jordan are so cute as you can see. They were so much fun to photograph. In the beginning of the shoot Jordan seemed very prim and proper. He was apparently given instructions before the shoot by Emily to be on his best behavior. I'm sure you all remember Alisa and Chidi's maternity pics. They are so cute and their little girl is even cuter!! She was born on May 21st and was 7lbs 9.6oz and 20.5 inches long. I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed when I first saw her. Babies are the most precious gift God has bestowed on us. Adaora did fantastic during the photoshoot. I think it was the fastest newborn shoot I have ever done. I guess no one told her that she is allowed to fuss and cry. Here are some of her adorable pictures, I can't take credit for how cute they are. It was all her!

This is me feeding Adaora. Alisa was still getting dressed and Alisa's mom had to step out to go help Alisa so I got to have a little mothering moment. It was heart warming.

I actually thing it is quite a ridiculous way of saying you are pregnant, to say "expecting". I guess it is old fashioned. Now we have shirts for pregnant women that say "knocked up". But in trying not to offend any of my blog readers out there I chose not to use the words "Knocked up"!
It was a great day. It was somewhat overcast which made for some great lighting but it was extra windy so Leanne's hair was probably our biggest obstacle trying to keep it in place. They are both beautiful people inside and out and I can't wait to meet there little girl soon!

I just love these two. They actually met and fell in love in Indonesia and lived there for about 6 or 7 years. I they have been together for about 11 years so it was about time they tied the knot! I think Lindsey thought so as well. Most of the wedding party were friends of theirs from Indonesia. You could tell there was such a tight bond between all of them. They got married at Chapel Dulcinea which an absolutely remarkable place to get married. First of all it is a free venue and they have some amazing people working there. Jordan was our golden boy! He works for the venue to oversee the weddings and was more than helpful.

JD and Kelsey got married at the Frio Pecan Farm in Leakey Tx. When she first called me to do her wedding I immediately called up all of my family and said "pack your bags were going to the river." We rented out a house down the street and left Thursday for a long weekend of relaxation, family time, and a great wedding! So if I was late returning calls or emails that is why.
The wedding was absolutely beautiful with all the fixins for a Texas style wedding. The wedding favors included cigars, lighters, and koozies. Here are some pics from the wedding....

Mrs. Kari Sanchez won the Hot Momma Photoshoot contest. She so deserved this day of pampering. If you read the read the previous post about her she is a wife and mother of a beautiful 2 year old little girl. She has been married to a wonderful man and soldier for 7 years. He has since been deployed 4 times and each time Kari has had to endure the absence of her husband and father of their little girl. She had 8 friends and family members send in their vote for her to win the Hot Momma contest and I was more than honored to be able to photograph Kari, who along with her husband I send out my thanks and appreciation for their service to our Country. I pray that all the soldiers come home soon!

I have known this wonderful family since I was in the second grade and we started going to church with them. Brooke had contacted me a while back about getting pictures done for her mom for Mothers day. I was super pumped to get to photograph this beautiful family along with the newest additions that I hadn't met yet, Maddox and Samson, their cute little doggies. What a beautiful wedding this was. I loved the colors and all the beautiful flowers she choose. We used the same color scheme at our wedding 5 years ago. I imagined it was a little bit what my wedding would have looked like had it not rained the whole day and forced us inside a chapel with orange carpet.

Hot Momma Winners

I would have liked have every mom win. Some of the entries brought tears to my eyes thinking about how much it means to have a great mom in our lives. Thank you for all the entries and the decision was very hard but here are the winners...
1. Sharon Henderson was entered by her daughter Patricia. Patricia says that her mom has devoted her life to raising 4 kids. She was the kind of stay at home mom that went on all the field trips and was involved in all the extra activities. She say's she put up with many sleepless nights because her living room was full of pre-teen girls. She now is an "empty-nester" and instead of laying back and enjoying her solitude she quit her job to stay home with her grandson while her daughter goes to work.
2. Kari Sanchez was entered into the contest by 8 of her friends and family. Kari is the mother of one precious little girl who is about to be 2 years old. This is what her sister Lacy wrote, "It's not easy having your husband be deployed for a year at a time.....but it's happened to her 4 times....and each and every time she holds her head up high and she loves and supports her husband and she does her very best to take on the role of both parents and be the best mom a child could ask for even though deep down she's hurting and missing the love of her life. I can only hope to be as great of a mom and a wife...... as she is someday."
3. Mandy Coolbaugh was entered by her friend Brooke Hailey and this is what she writes, "Mandy's husband Mike was a baseball coach for the Tulsa Drillers, part of the Colorado Rockies oraganization. Last July, Mike was tragically struck in the neck by a foul ball and killed. They have 2 young sons, Joey and Jake and Mandy was pregnant with their 3rd child, Anne Michael, who was born in November and never had the chance to meet her daddy. Mandy is an amazing mom and is now filling the role of mom and dad. And while holding down parenting responsibilities, she continues to grieve the loss of her husband. They are an amazing family....I could go on and on about how great both Mandy and her kids are. But she could definitely use the pampering and I know she would love a photo shoot with her and her kids. They are her forever bond to Mike.

Sweet little Rowan

What a joy it is for me to see this little one growing up. You might remember Rowan from his Newborn and then his 2 month photos. He had just woken up from his nap so he was a happy smiley little boy for his photoshoot. They had to move to Florida just after Rowan was born. His daddy is stationed there, serving our country. Sometimes we forget about the wives of the soldiers that serve our country just as much. Tricia is still positive, upbeat and very strong even though her husband sometimes works 15 hour days.

Could the bride and groom be any cuter? Not only are they a hot couple they are sweet and fun. I had such a fun time at the wedding. I almost cried when I walked out the door. I have said it before but I feel so very blessed to do what I do. I get to meet the most wonderful people and be with them on one of the most important days of their lives.
They had the reception at the Pflugerville Fire Hall since Nick is a fireman. I was so excited when she said she wanted pictures around the fire truck. Music to my ears! It was super windy and was blowing Sierra's hair every which way but she was a real trooper. I just loved her bridesmaids they were so into the photos and kept coming up with ideas for more pictures. Fun Times!!

This past weekend my best friend Lindsey came to stay a night with us. Our plan was to relax and watch stupid girl movies while eating all kinds of horrible junk food. We did do some relaxing when she first got here but our passion for photography got the better of us and we ended up down by the river in San Marcos taking pictures of our oh so cute kids. Then instead of sitting down to watch movies we were both in front of our computers editing and laughing at the pictures while eating junk food. At least we still included the junk food. Here are just a few. I promised Lindsey no embarrassing pictures of funny poses we were trying out but I do have plenty in case I need to blackmail her one day.

Titus threw Asia's shoes in the river. We recovered one of them but that does us little good. So if anyone out there has a spare left foot croc size 8 let me know.

Easter

I always look forward to time when we get together with family. I love hanging out with them. I love watching my kids play with their cousins. Ever since Asia was like 3 months old she would just stair at her cousin Christina, longing for the day when she could run around and play with her. She follows her around like a little puppy. Titus is just now getting to the point where he wants to follow them around but for the most part Titus marches to the beat of his own tune. He is such a character always mimicking everything we say. I have to be extra careful with what I say in front of him because at 18 months he is already spitting out sentences.
So for Easter we went to my Uncle's house and did an easter egg hunt and then we went to a park by my moms house. We went down by the creek to take pictures and within seconds all the kids were in the freezing cold water. All the adults were bundled up in Jackets but for some reason with kids, having fun takes precedence over hypothermia And I guess for me getting a good picture takes precedence over keeping warm. So I rolled up my pants and joined them in the creek.

These two are so much fun to be around. Terri is the type of girl that knows what she wants. She just got done taking the Barr exam, you go girl!! Randy is as sweet as can be and especially sweet to her. Heck, he even wore a black sweater for the pictures when it was 90 degrees outside. We did two sessions to get in all the locations that she wanted for her engagement pics. The first ones were taken in beautiful San Marcos but we still had to get a little taste of Austin in there somewhere so we ventured out yet again to the famous Austin mural. Check them out..

Duchouquette Family

Both Janette and John work with my mom and I was so excited to finally meet their two boys. Towards the end they started to play around with two big sticks they had found on the ground. I had already packed up my stuff ready to go but had to pull my camera back out to get the two shots of the boys with the big sticks. These pictures show their boyish nature more than the previous shots we had gotten.

I was so thrilled when Darrah called me and wanted me to do her wedding. I had never met her before but when she proceeded to tell me that she wanted some fun, out of the ordinary pictures for her formal shots, I knew she was my girl!! She it totally goofy and fun to be around. Mark is a people person and just a super nice guy they make such a great couple. Not to mention that they are a HOT couple to photograph. Darrah looked absolutely beautiful in her dress. Here are some of the highlights!

We were trying to entice little Riley, Darrah's niece, into getting in the picture by giving her the flowers to take to Darrah, but she had her own agenda!

I have to be honest. After a long weekend and a lot of photo shoots I was not looking forward to doing the TTD today. I just wanted to lay around and watch movies, but once Katie first stepped onto the train tracks and I took the first shot, I felt a rush of excitement and energy all at once. I LOVE my job!!! Katie, Casey, and Kendall are my stellar brides. Katie is a fabulous makeup artist and you can check her out on her website. Casey is a hard working wedding planner with Something to Celebrate and I had the honor of doing her wedding back in October. Kendall is an amazing hair stylist and I met her thru Casey. So needless to say I am full of resources for any one planning their wedding and looking for some amazing girls to help out. I have so many many favorites from this shoot that I couldn't post them all at once. I decided to post some of my favorite group shots tonight and then I will post some of the individual shots in a few days.

Finley Grace

Finley is so freakin adorable! Her mom Amanda was another one of the free session winners. I lucked out with the winners of the free sessions. Little Finley warmed up to me pretty quickly and I was sad to leave at the end of the photoshoot because she was being so sweet to me. She even hugged my leg at one point when a stranger walked by. I think she even enjoyed having all the attention on her and even posed for us a few times. But in the end we had to break out the fish crackers to lure her into position.

Yesterday I opened a piece of mail that had a very pleasant surprise inside. One of my future Brides, Rachel from the last session I posted below, had sent me the sweetest thank you card along with my favorite gift in the world, a gift card to Starbucks!!! I am truly grateful to have such a wonderful job and am able to work with some of the best Brides a photographer could wish for.

This is Rachel and Justin and lets not forget Guss and Ringo their dogs. Rachel is one of the winners of the free session. Her and Justin have been together for 6 years now but because of school and Rachel studying to become a veterinarian they have been waiting for the right time to be engaged. They are such a cute couple and are about as sweet and caring as they come. She asked if it was ok to have her dogs with them on the shoot. I jump at any opportunity I can to photograph animals. I'm a huge dog lover and have to resist the temptation to buy all the puppies I see on the side of the road for sale. Here are a few favorites!

This one was my favorite and almost brought tears to my eyes. It is just so timeless and classic.

These two are so special to me. We grew up going to the same church and we became really good friends in our youth group. I miss those days so much. They have been together for about 8 years now. They are high school sweethearts, so to speak. I was so excited to hear about their engagement but bummed that I wouldn't be able to attend their wedding or photograph it because I have another wedding to be at. They laughed thru the whole shoot, and were so much fun to hang out with again.

Today is special for more reasons than one. Not only do I get to celebrate the love between my husband and I but we were blessed with a reminder of our love, our sweet little Asia was born on Valentines day. She turned 3 today and I have had little visions all day of her packing her bags and heading off to college. I'm not ready for our little girl to grow up, ever! I want her to be my little girl that still climbs into bed with me at night and puts her arms around me and say's "I wuv you mommy". Our little girl who gets onto her little brother for doing stuff he's not supposed to and that little girl who sings while she goes potty. I can hear it now, ringing loud in my ears the words you always here old people say, "they grow up right before your eyes".

Senior 08

O.k so she isn't really a Senior. She is a cute sophomore I picked up at HEB and asked her to model for me. I get such an itch to do Seniors. They are always so excited and bring some of the cutest clothes. I think I need a senior to come over and go thru my wardrobe. I'm sure the first thing they would point out is that I need some color. I tend to stick with neutrals in my attire. I think that is why I love having so much color in my photography, I guess it evens things out. Enough of that, now for some totally cool pictures!

Oh how I love newborns. Well I like to visit them and take pictures of them. I miss that sweet smell but I can't say that I miss not getting any sleep. You might remember Annalee and Evan from their maternity shoot I did a couple of months ago. I have been looking forward to taking these newborn pictures for a while. Thank you so much Annalee and Evan for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your sweet little Adelaide.

Asia has been very sick for the last two days. We had to take her to the minor emergency last night and every five minutes she would say, "i'm ready go". On top of not feeling good the doctor had to keep looking down her throat and we have had to force medicine down her. I absolutely hate it. So we decided to just get out of the house today and let her get some fresh air. I was actually shocked when we got out of the car she walked off towards the water. I have had to carry her around every where else we go. These were shot in our new hometown Kyle and also San Marcos. I have fallen in love with San Marcos and the campus area. It is a like a mini downtown Austin. Lots of college kids out walking around and half the traffic of Austin. Here are a few from the evening...

I just thought I would share a little bit more about me and the things I love. Well love is a strong word since these are just things. Never the less here they are:

1. I eat at least one and sometimes two Kashi bars a day. I try to hide them from my kids so they don't eat them all up. I take them with me when I do a wedding and they usually save me from wanting to be the first one in line at the buffet.
2. Go get a Skinny Latte at Starbucks as soon as you can, they are wonderful among all the other wonderful delights at Starbucks. The best gifts from my husband are Starbucks gift cards. Which is all I ever really ask for. So if any of you ever want to suprise me, a starbucks gift card would be fabulous!
3. Gallery wraps are one of my favorite photo products. I haven't actually ordered any yet but I hope to fill my house with them soon. I would love to sell more of these they are so clean and modern.
4. Oh how I love, love, love this bag. It started with lusting over the shootsac but they are a little pricey. So I found this daddy diaper bag. Check them out, they have a dudes and divas line. It is perfect for my camera, four lenses, my flash, plenty of batteries, flashcards, water bottle, and of coarse my Kashi bars.
5. These new celeste crocs are on my must have list. I wear my mary-jane crocs probably 90% of the time. There are few things I will do to be in style and sacrificing comfort for fashion isn't one of them.
6. I can't honestly say that I eat healthy all the time but when I'm in the mood this is a great cookbook. It is an oldie but a goody. I just recently cooked Oriental cabbage slaw, whole wheat strawberry bread, and chicken salad. YUM, YUM!
7. My next purchase!! Lightroom has definitely cut my processing time down significantly. What will they think of next! Those guys at Adobe are so talented and should be so proud of the work that they do. They make my job that much more fun and creative.
8. So I can't have a list of favorites without putting a favorite lens on here! The 85mm 1.8 lens is so crisp and yet so soft. The low f-stop is perfect for low light and depth of field. Don't leave home without it!

What's up w/ the Woods?

I always have people asking why I don't put more up about my family. I struggle with posting just about anything these days. We moved in to our house 2 weeks ago and I still don't feel like we are completely settled in yet. So here are a few pics of my oh so adorable kids and some pictures of our house. The upstairs still isn't complete so I will post some of those at a later date. We finally cleaned today, thanks to my sweet husband.

Here they are in their towels they got for Christmas. Asia cries if she doesn't have her bunny towel to dry off with when she gets out of the tub.

This is the green belt that runs behind our yard, not very green though!

My little mini-me. She loves carrying her purse around like a big girl, she's always telling me she is a big girl unless if she wants her paci then she says, "I'm a baby"

Asia wants to be like her daddy. We caught her ready philosophy. Adrian was so excited but I'm still banking on her being a photographer.

I never knew a reading chair was all it took. Adrian was as giddy as a school girl when we went to IKEA to get him a reading chair. I'm not supposed to tell you that he even got a throw blanket to cover up with while he's reading.

Karis and Aaron get Married!!

Here are Karis and Aaron. These two are adorable and super sweet people. It has been a rocky road for them. When Karis and I first met we reserved two dates for her wedding. They wanted to get married in June but due to Aarons mothers illness we had to bump up her wedding date. So keep Aaron and his family in your prayers. Rehearsal dinners are always so much fun. Everyone is so laid back and relaxed. There was no shortage of fun here. You could feel the emotion and love in the room. I feel so very blessed to be a part of some of the most intimate moments in peoples lives. The dinner was at the good ole Salt Lick. I love working with old friends. Daniel and I grew up going to Church together. I was good friends with his older brother Ben. It was great to finally meet Amanda I had heard so much about her and she is as sweet as can be. These two have been together for six years. They are high school sweet hearts! Another great laid back couple. I am so blessed to have such great clients to work with. There families had known each other for a long time and Arthur's mom was the one to keep pushing the two of them to get together. They finally met at a small restaurant and sixth street and have been together ever since. Go mom! Even Andrea admits that Arthur's mom gets all the credit for the two of them finding each other. I had so much fun today hanging out with these two. They had no problem smiling for the camera because they were laughing the whole time, which made my job super easy! The baby is due mid Jan and they are waiting to find out if it is a boy or a girl! I'm not so patient. Annalee and Evan were refreshing to watch. They adore each other and are so sweet with one another. They fell in love while they were in Oxford England. Evan was doing study abroad and Annalee was the nanny for her uncle who was teaching. Therefore I always get a little nervous when doing large families but I can't say enough about how easy going and kind this family was. They are my cousins in-laws. I have been taking pictures along the way of the progression of our first house but just realized that I hadn't blogged about it so I thought I would post a few today. We have wanted to buy a house since we got married but it was just not in God's plan for us. But here we are 4 years down the road and 2 kids later about to finally own a home. It hasn't seemed real until we went today and they had a bunch done to it. So here are a few pics. I didn't take upstairs pics because right now they just look like square rooms. We still need a refrigerator so if anyone wants to trade pictures for a fridge let me know.

We are actually living together right now and have grown so close over the past few months. It's funny how you despise your siblings when your growing up and then when you get older you become best friends. This happened with both of my sisters and I'm so very thankful for it.

What a cute couple these two are! We had quite an adventure on our photoshoot. When they showed up there was a wedding just ending and all the people were coming out of the church and then all of a sudden a car turned the wrong way down a one way and another car rammed into the side of it. Thankfully everyone seemed to be ok. Then a guy came up to us cursing us and talking some kind of hoop-la about satan and hell and to tell you the truth we could barely understand a word he was saying. All together we had a great time. They are some of the friendliest people and I can't wait to do there wedding.

These are my cousins and I was very excited to be doing their pictures for them yesterday. We both live in Austin but don't see each other very much so it was fun to get to hang out with them. Kendal, who is 7, acted so grown up. She was very excited to have her pictures taken. Kaleb on the other hand was all boy! Boy's are such a hand full but so worth it! It's amazing the differences between boys, and girls, and I fill so blessed that I have one of each so I can experience it. Towards the end of the photo shoot we realized we really didn't have any good face shots of Kaleb and if we tried to get him to smile for the camera, well lets just say he had his own agenda. But we did manage to get him to crack a smile at the very end and it just so happened to be my favorite picture of the evening.

Here are some pics I took a couple of weeks ago of my kiddos and niece and two nephews. It was crazy we all piled into my sister in law's sequioa (spell?) and it took seriously half an hour to figure out how all of the 5 car seats would fit. We were determined though and even though it was quite the ordeal to get in and out of the car each time it was worth the effort. At one point I looked back in the car and thought, these can't be our kids, I'm too young for this. But we had fun! The first two are mine, Titus and Asia and then there is Ian and Isaac and then Camille. As you can see I have only had time to do one collage so far. Heck, I took these two weeks ago and I'm just now posting them.

No, it's not just a cheesy title for my blog post, it really is their last name. I can't say enough about Casey and Kris. Casey and I hit it off right from the start. She is a fun, outgoing girl with such a big heart. Weddings are always exhausting but I love every minute of it and was so honored to be their to document this once in a lifetime moment for these two. I have to give a shout out to the girls at Something to Celebrate who did an amazing job organizing and keeping everything running like it should. I highly recommend them! Along with Katie Astoria who did the makeup and Johanna at Hairy Situations who did Casey's hair. I don't normally do this on a blog but like I said they did such a great job I couldn't go without mentioning them. So here are some photos from the wedding. My husband shot the guys while I was with the girls. They went around downtown and my husband said they were stopping random girls asking to take their picture with them. I thought it was hilarious!

I am so sad that I won't be doing their wedding they had already booked someone in their hometown but I was still thankful they called me to do their engagement pics. I have been tagged by my new photo bud Jennifer Nichols. I don't know if there are 8 interesting things to write about, um let me see
1. I am addicted to checking other photographers blogs. It is good and bad, it makes me critical of my own work, but pushes me to do better.
2. If I keep a gallon of Chocolate Ice Cream in the freezer I will go through it by myself in a weeks time. It's the same with Cheese Cake. After my son was born I think I ate two slices a day for like three weeks. Gross I know!
3. I love Cheesy chic flicks but I guess it's ok since I am equally addicted to movies such as gladiator and the new casino royal. Oh and all the Oceans and Borne movies.
4. My favorite pass time besides photography is just hanging out with my family.
5. I met my husband many moons ago at church and I kind of knew he always liked me. But every time he called me to hang out it always seemed I had another boyfriend. So about 6 years after we met we finally started hanging out more one summer and I just thought he was so fun and sweet.
6. We found out we were pregnant on our one year anniversary, 9 months later we had a precious baby girl, 17 months after that we had a rough and rowdy little boy.
7. I traveled to oxford, england for study abroad and traveled to Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, Austria, and Spain. I just wish I was with my husband at the time to enjoy it with him.
8. I secretly get up every night to turn the AC off because I get cold, my husband always says, honey did you turn the AC off, to which I reply, "no".

I just did my two nephews pictures today. It never fails that a baby will sleep 24/7 until the photographer shows up and then they decide that there done sleeping until you leave. Oh well we got some cute pictures. Ian just turned two and Isaac is only a couple of weeks old. I can't believe my son is already a year old. He is already saying so many words. "No" is his favorite word to say and he says it often. In fact he says full sentences just out of using the word "NO". We had a party for him here at my dad's house. He got some really cool stuff. The tonka truck in the picture is what his granny got for him and he and his sister take turns riding in it and pushing each other around. They grow up so fast. So as always I need to document it by taking lots of pictures. They are getting better about me taking their picture. Titus even says "cheese" now and gives me a big smile. He is too cute!

My brother in law has become Mr. Mom around the house since being on what I guess you could call maternity leave. He has been waiting hand and foot on my sister and she deserves it. She is always doing so much for everyone else. The shoot went just as suspected, Kyren pooped and peed all over the place and never slept. The joys of infancy. I love the little ones but I don't miss those sleepless nights.

Sweet baby Kyren

He is just so precious. My sister went through a lot bringing this baby into the world. She had her birth plan all planned out and nothing happened according to plan. It just goes to show that we are not in control. Kyren is such a blessing. He was 7lbs 9oz and born at 2:51pm, almost 19 hours after she went into labor. We are just thankful that he is a healthy little man.

What a fun couple these two were. Casey is such a cool girl and I am honored to be doing there wedding coming up in October. So aparantly "no tresspassing" does not apply to Casey. We kind of took some of these pics illegaly but as you can see it was well worth it. I love a girl who will risk anything for a good picture!

These are from our downtown photo shoot yesterday. Most of them were taken in a back alley. The doctors said she could have the baby any day now and I said, oh no you don't not until we take some more pregnancy pictures! She is a beautiful pregnant mom.

Here is another picture we took at the zoo. I love the jelly belly sign in the back ground, it captures the essence of a child, well sort of. I can't wait to get pics of all the cousins together. We are missing Ian and Issac. I hope to get some good pics of Issac my new nephew when he is born, any day now!

We went to Ft. Worth this weekend to vistit my brother and sister in law and we had so much fun. Camille is now 8 months old and as cute as can be. She had the most adorable little laugh. My sister in law and I gave the kids a bath and got some cute pics out of it. Asia loved playing with the baby. She is going to be quite the little mommy someday, but thankfully not anytime soon. I want to keep her this size forever.

This is for my friend Lindsey Cotton of Cotton Photography. Besides my husband she is my biggest fan, I think? Oh well, she has been waiting patiently for me to post a new blog. You should check out her website, she is a wonderful photographer and an even better friend. My family and I are going to Dallas this weekend to spend time with family and go to the Zoo. It's funny how going to the zoo is so much fun when your little and then it slowly looses it's appeal as you get into middle school or high school and then when you get married and have kids it becomes fun again. I think it is more fun now than ever to watch my kids reaction and to see them have fun. Being a mom is no easy task but as most mothers would agree, there is no better feeling in the world than to care for your own children.
